Matchmaker Orest Zmyndak Talks “Hypersonic”

Recently King of the Cage Canada announced that veteran Jordan McKay will take on Jayson Peck at the promotion’s upcoming, June 26th “Hypersonic” event in Calgary, Alberta. For long time Albertan, MMA fans, the card will give them the first opportunity to see McKay compete since December, 2009, and matchmaker Orest Zmyndak is clearly excited about the recent signing. Line-Up Coming Together for “Hypersonic”

King of the Cage Canada has confirmed several bouts for its upcoming “Hypersonic” event, which will take place June 26th at the Deerfoot Casino in Calgary, Alberta. To date, seven fights have been signed for the card, and the promotion expects to add four or five more.

KOTC Canada Matchmaker Orest Zmyndak Talks “Mile Zero”

King of the Cage Canada headed to Dawson Creek’s Encana Centre for the promotion’s latest event on Friday, and provided the region’s MMA fans with ten pro bouts. While the card included several noteworthy results, for KOTC matchmaker Orest Zmyndak, the fact that the event went off without a hitch was just as important.

“For the first sanctioned show ever in Dawson Creek, the event ran very smoothly,” said Zmyndak about the April 29th card. “KOTC personnel is very experienced in working with commissions and all requirements were met and handled professionally from both sides. The fights were outstanding, with comments from officials brought in from Edmonton ranging from very well matched and fights made sense. A few surprises on the card and that only increases the fan interest. Looking forward to next show there in October.”

Dan Shenk “Very Happy” About Latest Win

Dan Shenk returned to action Friday night at King of the Cage Canada’s “Mile Zero” event in Dawson Creek, B.C., and after going approximately two years without fighting, the Prince George middleweight scored a first round, TKO win over Kris Miskenack.

KOTC Canada "Mile Zero" Results

Here are the results from King of the Cage Canada’s latest event, which took place Friday night, April 29th  in Dawson Creek. “Mile Zero” saw KOTC Canadian welterweight champ Garett Davis tap out American veteran Gabe Rivas in the second round, as well as, heavyweight Ryan Fortin stop MMA legend Dan Severn in round three.
